PRETERM BIRTH AND ITS COMPLICATIONS ARE THE LARGEST CONTRIBUTORS TO INFANT DEATH IN THE UNITED STATES AND GLOBALLY
This urgent health crisis is significantly fueled by the health equity gap in our healthcare system today. Since 2010, Non-Hispanic Black infants, in Chicago, have had an infant mortality rate that is approximately three times higher than Non-Hispanic White infants. Our focus is to center our efforts on the communities most negatively impacted by prematurity.
March of Dimes, Goodr and our community partners are joining forces to host a Pop-Up Wellness Event. Activities include a pop-up grocery market, an art installation by Ashley January, "Ask the Provider" Education Booths, Flu an COVID Vaccine Clinic, and a Diaper Distributuion Drive.
Families must pre-register to attend. One registration is allowed per household.
